Project Description:
This development project involved acquisition by long-term lease and renovation of the historic Opera House and an adjacent building, both of which are included in the Junction City Downtown Historic District of Junction City, Kansas. The renovation process preserved both structures, and transformed them into a state-of-the-art performing arts center. The stage and theatrical areas of the opera house will serve those same functions, and the adjacent building provides supporting areas such as dressing rooms, costume storage, scenery workshop, office space, public restrooms, and mechanical equipment areas.
For additional information about the project, including history, and the schedule for events, one can visit the web site at http://www.jcoperahouse.org/.

The development team is made up of a number of companies that came together to undertake the process of the historic preservation and transformation of these two historic buildings to serve the community by making real the vision of restoring the performing arts function back to this prominent part of the city's skyline. The members of our team have taken the concept of this preservation and transformation, and converted those lofty goals into reality.
